Nepal Prime Minister Attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony of SafBon’s Project

Cornerstone laying ceremony of sewage water treatment project for SafBon and Nepal was held successfully in January 3rd 2019 at the capital of Nepal, Katmandu. The ceremony was organized by the owner of sewage water project, Project Implementation Directorate, and SafBon together. The president of Nepal, Mr. K.P.Oil, attended this ceremony with Water Minister (Mrs. Bina Magar), Water Secretary-general (Mr. Gajendra Kumar Thakur) and more than a dozen of national parliamentarians. Mr. President laid the foundation for sewage water treatment project of SafBon by himself, and delivered a brilliant 20-minute speech. He fully affirmed SafBon’s advanced sewage water treatment process used for the project, and praised the hard work of SafBon’s design team and construction team for the project in the early stage.

The sewage water treatment project of Katmandu, which was constructed by SafBon, was financed by the Asian Development Bank, and it was the biggest sewage water treatment (EPC) project in Nepal. This project consisted of three sewage plants including Dhobighat, Kodku and Sallaghari, and the waste water treatment capacity were 37MLD, 17.5MLD and 14.2MLD respectively. It used the advanced active sewage water treatment process, and biogas generated from the process was utilized for power generation. The project is scheduled to be put into operation in November 2019, and will be handed over to owners after 5 years operation. The project will solve the problems of domestic wastewater discharge in Katmandu, change the river water quality in the city and improve the sanitation of the capital. To sum up, it is the important livelihood engineering project in Nepal.

  WANG Xian , the CEO of SafBon, attended cornerstone laying ceremony and made a speech as the host of project. Mr. Wang introduced SafBon in Shanghai(Headquarter), Austria, France KWI, Germany ItN and the United States SWT, and also declared that SafBon was an international listed company. He detailed SafBon’s business sectors in engineering design, manufacturing, engineering construction, desalination and so on. Moreover, SafBon’s leading ceramic membrane and air flotation products were introduced as well. Through this project construction, Mr. Wang wishes that more Nepalese will know SafBon and used its advanced water treatment technologies in the other projects.
