SafBon Sludge Thin-Layer Drying Technology & Equipment Passed the Acceptance

On Dec. 27th, Hilling Chang, the chairman of the SafBon, Guo Huidong, deputy general manager and other leaders attended the meeting to check and accept the sludge thin-layer drying technology and equipment developed by SafBon .The acceptance team is composed of eight experts, including Yang Xiangping, director of China Urban Water Supply and Drainage Association, and Li Yi, deputy director of Beijing General Academy of Political and Engineering Design.

At the meeting, Guo huidong, deputy general manager on behalf of SafBon, reported the self-developed technology of sludge thin layer drying. Wet sludge is in the core equipment, thin layer drying device, which is conducive to improve thermal efficiency and solve the problem of viscous zone in the process of sludge drying.The first phase of sludge drying project of Shanghai Qingpu Town Sewage Treatment Plant, which successfully applied this technology was introduced. The project was put into operation in 2014 and has been running steadily up to now.This project uses the waste heat steam from thermal power plant to dry the wet sludge of moisture content 80% collected by each sewage treatment plant in Qingpu District. The dry sludge with moisture content 30% is dried by the thin layer drying device of sludge and sent to the power plant for combustion and power generation as inferior coal. The purpose of circular economy is achieved.

The expert group highly appraised the equipment, believing that the device has the advantages of small area, low steam consumption, long continuous and stable operation time, realizing the "trinity" disposal mode of sludge treatment, drying and utilization of thermal power plant resources, filling the gap of domestic drying equipment, and having good environmental benefits and economic efficiency.
