The Yuncheng second wastewater treatment plant phase II project of Safbon has been progressing smoothly since it was started on April 1, 2018. By the end of October, the construction of pipes and ditches in the civil and factory areas have been completed.
This project accommodates the coking wastewater in the industrial park, which has many toxic components, high salinity, high color and difficult biodegradation. The park is located in the Zhu-Zhaoxin river valley, in order to ensure the water quality of the entire trunk canal of the south-north water diversion project, Shandong section. In March 2018, the Heze government issued the strictest standards for industrial wastewater discharge in history: COD<30mg/l, total phosphorus concentration <0.3mg/l and ammonia nitrogen <2mg/l.
Faced with this challenge, Safbon has organized a core technical team who combined with the characteristics of coking wastewater, and conducted scientific evaluation and demonstration of the treatment process through a large number of field pilot tests and scientific experiment. Safbon finally effectively overcome the technical difficulties.
The expansion project is now under construction, and the commissioning of water supply is expected to start at the end of December. The completion and operation of the project will thoroughly solve the problem of coking wastewater treatment in the local industrial park, which will not only bring obvious environmental and social and economic benefits to the local area, but also play a positive role in water quality protection of the entire south-to-north water diversion project.
